A self guided nature trail trough a meadowland of grasses, herbs and flowers. The surrounding woodland is a home to gorse, elder, spindle and crab apple, while the wetlands include salt marshes and lake flora and fauna. There are three trails to choose from - maps are available from the visitors centre at Aughinish Alumina. |

A 600 acre plantation of exceptional beauty, it features walkways, a lake and arboretum, a nature trail and the ruins of the 18th century home of the poet Aubrey de Vere. Charges apply daily during July and August, also at weekends from March until November. For the rest of the year admission is free. |
